Spring ephemerals are up right now, and they won’t be around for long.
Join Wild Ones Lower Hudson Valley this Saturday at Ward Pound Ridge Reservation for a Spring Ephemeral Walk with naturalist Mathew McDowell. We’ll be looking closely at what’s emerging across the forest floor, including trout lily, bloodroot, spring beauty, and more.
These plants move fast. They take advantage of the short window before the canopy fills in, and then they’re gone until next year. Timing matters, and this is it.
It’s a relaxed, guided walk and a good way to spend a spring morning outside while actually learning what you’re seeing.
