How to Create a Pocket Meadow

Join Wild Ones Lower Hudson Valley for a hands-on look at how to create a small-scale native meadow in your own yard. Hosted in Filippine’s established meadow, this program will cover how to choose and prepare a site, select native plants, establish a meadow from seed or plugs, and manage it over time.
Participants will have the opportunity to explore the meadow up close, see how different plants work together, and learn practical approaches that can be adapted to spaces of many sizes. Whether you are replacing part of a lawn, planting a sunny border, or simply looking to support more pollinators and wildlife, a pocket meadow can add beauty, biodiversity, and seasonal interest to your landscape.
